This action was prepared and carried out by us independently, and we have no connection with and did not receive assistance from any foreign structures, let alone security services."

Biography

Vladlen was convicted of the armed robbery of a bank in December 2011. He was sentenced to a correctional colony in the city of Gorlovka for 12 years.

In 2014, the conflict in the South-East of Ukraine escalated. Vladlen was still serving his time in the prison when on July 21, 2014, a battle broke out right next to it. On August 27, Vladlen managed to escape from prison amongst the chaos in the area. Without hesitation, Tatarsky joined the militia, taking the call sign "Professor".

At first, Vladlen fought under the command of the field commander of the Gorlovka militia, Igor Bezler. Then he served in the unit "Vityaz". After the transformation of the militia into the people's militia, he transferred to the reconnaissance company of the 4th brigade of the NM of the LPR, where he served until the end of 2014.

In the spring of 2015, he returned to the service again, having fought for a year in the Vostok battalion. In 2017, he signed a contract with the NM of the LPR and was sent to battalion reconnaissance. Tatarsky had to serve in the LPR, since he was not taken to the NM DPR due to his criminal record.

After leaving the service, Maxim decided to try himself as a blogger. Under the pseudonym Vladlen Tatarsky, he created his own group, Waste Heaps of Donbass. The group covers events related to the conflict in Donbass. Since the beginning of the resumption of hostilities, Vladlen returned to the front line again, but now as a military correspondent.

Every day, Tatarsky uploaded on his VKontakte page and in the Telegram channel a video “Daytime Vladlen” or “Evening Vladlen” with a report on what happened during the day at the front. He also published two books: "War" and the autobiographical story "Running".

On April 2, 2023, Vladlen was speaking at a promotional event for his upcoming book "Meditation", which is a collection of short stories. The event was taking place at the "Street Food Bar #1" cafe in St. Petersburg. The cafe is part of Yevgeny Prigozhin's "Concord" group . It is located on the "fashionable" Vasiliev Island.
