In 2017 Sergei Kens became one of the figurants of the OSINT investigation InformNapalm (https://informnapalm.org/ua/zhyvi-mertvi-17-yi-omsbr-zs-rf-infografika/). At that time he was also the commander of the 70th Motorized Regiment of the 42nd Motorized Division of the 58th Army of the Eastern Front.

Additionally, the name of S. Kens was linked to the scandal of the conviction of servicemen of the 33rd JSDF, who refused to carry out the malicious orders of the Kremlin in 2014. At that time, Kens, while serving as acting commander of the brigade, cynically maintained that the servicemen of the Maikop brigade were not sent to the Donbass and that there are no Russian troops in Ukraine. He was one of the initiators of the criminal proceedings for "desertion" against the soldiers who refused to carry out non-legitimate commands.

On February 21, a memorial plaque to Sergei Nikolaevich Kens
was unveiled in the lobby of school 422 in Kronstadt.

Sergey Nikolaevich Kens, a graduate of school 422 in 1997, Guards Colonel, Chief of Staff - Deputy Commander of the 20th Guards Motorized Rifle Division of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, ex-brigade commander of the 810th Marine Brigade, died on July 10, 2022 in Ukraine in the line of duty.

Also on this day, a small exhibition dedicated to Sergei Kens was opened in the museum of the 422nd school.
