Nikolai loved the mountains. In 2015, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, a team of representatives of law enforcement agencies raised the flag of Crimea on the top of Elbrus; on the City Day in 2016, Nikolai and his friends raised the flag of Kerch at an altitude of 5642 meters, and in 2017, the flag of the city The security forces hoisted the hero on the top of Mount Kazbek.
In November 2017, Nikolai Nikolaevich first became the new founder of the Sevastopol Management Company "GUK", and in December he already held the position of general director. In 2018, the company ceased to exist. Then the retired officer holds the position of general director of the Kerch management company “Our City” and works there until 2021.
In 2019, he is running for deputy of the Kerch
City Council of the Republic of Crimea of the second convocation in single-mandate electoral district No. 13 from the Communist Party.
And in February 2022, he takes part in a special operation in Ukraine and goes into eternity as a hero of our time.
It is known that officer Nikolai Korobkin died in the first days of the special operation in Ukraine, on February 27. The man has a family left in Kerch. He was 50 years old.
