For more than four months, since the first day of the special military operation, Colonel Sergey Postnov performed service and combat missions. He worked in the thick of it: as part of the "V" group, he broke into Hostomel, participated in the liberation of cities and
towns of the Kharkiv region and the Luhansk Oblast.
Colonel Postnov's life was cut short on June 14, 2022, while
performing combat missions in Ukraine.

Of Note: the videos that circulated from russian sources of their disastrous attempt to Take the Hostomel airport were likely filmed by this Officer.

After graduating from the Faculty of Culture and Journalism of the Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in 2002, he was assigned to the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. He worked as a correspondent and later as editor of the district newspaper “Zorkiy Sentinel”. Performed missions to provide information support to troops in various hot spots. For a long time he worked in the editorial office of the military magazine “On a Combat Post”, from where he received an appointment to the Central Office of the Russian Guard.

Two years ago, on the night of June 13-14, 2022, while performing his military duty, the life of military journalist Colonel Sergei Postnov, head of the information response group of the 1st department of the Department for Interaction with the Media, was cut short.
