Began his military service as a radar engineer in the management of the motorized rifle division of the Leningrad Military District. Then he served in various military districts of the USSR and the Russian Federation (the Far East, the North Caucasus, Transbaikalia), went from a military engineer to the commander of the unit, visited "hot spots", had the status of "veteran of hostilities".

In 2005, as a lieutenant colonel of the reserve, he moved to the village of Novopokrovskaya, Krasnodar Territory, for 4 years he worked as the head of the 1st department, deputy military commissar of the district military commissariat. Then he retired and joined the ranks of the Kuban Cossack Army, became the chief of staff of the Novopokrovsky district Cossack society.

In 2012, he became the commander of the Cossack brigade, took part in the operation to reunite Crimea with Russia.

On July 28, 2017 he was elected ataman of the Novopokrovsky district Cossack society, then became deputy head of the municipality administration for Cossacks and military-patriotic education. He was awarded 17 medals.

In the spring of 2022, he volunteered for the detachment of the Kuban Cossack troops to take part in the war in Ukraine. He was deputy chief of staff of the detachment "Kuban".

He died of shrapnel wounds in Sadovoye village of LNR.
