In 2013, Vladimir Ivanov was transferred to Moscow, where he became the press secretary of the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, receiving the next military rank of “lieutenant colonel” a year later.

While serving as the chief expert of the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Vladimir continuously participated in supporting various activities in the field of state defense policy.

In 2016–2020 He repeatedly performed special tasks on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic, for which he was awarded state awards, departmental medals of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the military rank of “Colonel”.

In 2022, Vladimir Ivanov, from the first days of a special military operation to Seize Ukrainian Teritory, left for the combat zone to organize the work of Propaganda support bodies of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as Russian media.

During the special operation, Colonel Ivanov personally went to the settlements of the Chernigov and Kyiv regions of Ukraine, where he died on March 25, 2022.
