April 2022 brought tragic news to the Grishin family. The news spread like lightning throughout Smolensk and beyond. During the performance of combat missions of a special military operation, the commander of the 49th anti-aircraft missile brigade stationed in Smolensk, Colonel Ivan Ivanovich Grishin , an officer, husband, father and grandfather, died. He was just over 50 years old. 

The military personnel took the initiative to perpetuate the memory of the commander. Today, on Defender of the Fatherland Day, the bust of Colonel Grishin was inaugurated.
