Roman Sutkalov

Originally widely reported as a Major, we believe this to be inaccurate. The claims seem to originate from the image below, which appears to show a single star with two solid lines on his epaulettes (indicating the rank of Major). However, the single star seems too small for a Major, and the image is clearly a construct. Digging deeper, we found his widow, Svetlana Sutkalova, who clearly stated he was a Junior Lieutenant. We've decided to publish this card as a Dishonorable Mention, not because he was a notable person, but because we feel it's important to correct the widely held belief that he was a Major.
