At the beginning of July, during the next offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the position of the regiment, a high-precision missile attack was carried out on one of the strongholds, as a result of which the building in which the personnel was hiding collapsed. Maxim Lukanin and Sergey Polyakov, who were nearby, immediately set about organizing rescue operations - they dug up the survivors. But the enemy opened these works and delivered another missile attack, as a result of which both officers were killed.
