Comic book made by the Synergy Corporation with the participation of the Ryazan Patriot center. Translation and further pages below.
On March 15, a column of armored vehicles of the airborne regiment commanded by Sukharev approaches the Hostomel airfield. Having assessed the situation, the colonel gives the command to attack. Russian infantry fighting vehicles deploy an attacking chain and begin to storm the positions. The landing party conducts continuous fire at the enemy, hiding behind the bodies of vehicles. After some time, reinforcements arrive at the enemy, which knock out several infantry fighting vehicles, including the colonel's car.
The paratroopers lie down in shelters under enemy machine-gunfire. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Colonel Sukharev stands in front of the lying paratroopers and commands the attack, the first to rush to the enemy positions. Sergei Sukharev dies during the assault, but by his heroic example he helps to raise the fighters to the attack, increasing their morale in the hardest battle with the superior forces.

From the story of Olga Sergeevna Sukhareva:

We met Sergei on May 9, 2002. A tall, handsome, serious-looking third-year cadet of the airborne school immediately attracted my attention. I gave him my phone number, but I didn't really expect a call. Moreover, we didn’t have cell phones then, and I heard from my friends that cadets are addicted people. But he broke that stereotype. Phone calls quickly became our daily ritual, as did weekend meetings. And three months later Serezha introduced me to his mother right at the checkpoint. Without warning. A year later, he announced to my parents: "Olya and I decided to get married." I don’t know who was more surprised - me or my parents, because he didn’t warn me. And to my question: “When did you manage to propose to me?”, The future husband answered simply: “Are you against it?”
As you can see, already at the beginning of the relationship it became clear: I would live behind him like behind a stone wall, because the husband would take responsibility for all serious decisions. And so it happened. You just do not think that my opinion did not interest him. Here is something else. We just understood and felt each other without words.
He always tried to protect me from problems called "everyday life of a military wife." For example, we have never lived in a hostel, even when we were very young, after the distribution, my husband immediately rented an apartment. Moving, a new city is stress from which there is no escape, but all the difficulties that could really be avoided did not exist for me. Thanks Serena. Yes, he disappeared at work from early morning until late at night. But he never brought home problems and a bad mood.
His business trips lasted not days and weeks, but months, sometimes up to a year. But what after them there were meetings and emotions! Planning a vacation together was almost impossible. He never chose the sofa on his day off. We traveled a lot, both short and long distances, without any plans. During the holidays, I often stayed alone, and later with the children. He devoted more time to caring for soldiers than to his own children. But our son and daughter received so much love and support from him that I assure you: the main thing is quality, not quantity.
And to be completely frank, I always knew that service to the Motherland was in the first place for Sergei. But even on the second one, I felt like a queen with him! In conclusion, I will say that I lived a very happy life with my kind, reliable, caring husband!
