Alexander Alexandrovich Krylov was born on May 23, 1971 in Kuvshinovo. From 1978 to 1988 he studied at Kuvshinovskaya secondary school No.1.
In 1988 he entered YavZRKU air defense (Yaroslavl Higher School of Anti-Aircraft Missile Defense.) After graduation in 1992 he went to military service in the anti-aircraft missile regiment in Angarsk, Irkutsk region.
From 1992 to 1998 he served in the positions from the chief of the computation of the department of combat control to the deputy commander of the antiaircraft missile battalion of weapons.
In 1999 he entered the Marshal Zhukov Air Defense Academy in Tver.
Upon graduation in 2001, he left for further military service in the city of Khabarovsk as deputy regiment commander for weapons.
In 2008, he was appointed deputy armament commander of the air defense division in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
In 2019, he was transferred to an equivalent position in the Air Defense Division in Chita.
On 30 June 2022, Alexander deployed to Ukraine to conduct combat tasks in the zone of air defense in the Kherson region. On 6 August, while deploying weapons and military equipment for combat use, he was wounded by shrapnel, from which he died in a military hospital in Rostov-on-Don.
