Born into a family of hereditary military men. He studied at secondary school No. 10 in Severomorsk, Murmansk region. In 1992 he graduated from the Kiev Higher Naval Political School, specializing in social psychology. After graduation with the rank of lieutenant, he was appointed deputy for educational work of the commander of the 4th company of the 2nd regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine in Kyiv, but in March 1993, due to his refusal to take the Ukrainian military oath, he left for the Northern Fleet.
He served in the Northern Fleet on the destroyer Besstrashny as a psychologist, later as deputy commander of the RTBCh for educational work. Participated in the formation of the crew, acceptance of the ship from industry, sea and state trials, crossing the inter-fleet transition in August 1994 from the Baltic to the Northern Fleet. Then he sailed on the rescue ship “Georgiy Titov”. Subsequently, he sailed on the heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser "Peter the Great". He was appointed deputy commander at the Belomorsk naval base. In 1999, he was a psychologist at the Kerch BOD and subsequently deputy commander of the Pytlivy ICR.
In August 2004, Andrei Nikolaevich returned to his unit of the Black Sea Fleet as deputy commander of the RSBC for educational work of the BKK "Ochakov" 1134B, in May 2005 he was appointed deputy commander of the 11th UPLK of the 30th DNA of the Black Sea Fleet for educational work. Since the fall of 2004, he has repeatedly served as deputy commander of a campaign to work with personnel of detachments of ships of the Black Sea Fleet in the Mediterranean Sea, including during the operational-strategic exercises “West-2009”, “Vostok-2010”, Russian-Italian naval exercises "IONEX-2011". In August-September 2008 he took part in the war in Georgia. In April-July 2010, he headed the moral and psychological support for the inter-fleet transition of the Project 1164 cruiser "Moscow" from the Black Sea to the Pacific Fleet through the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
Since 2011 - Head of the Department for Work with Personnel of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.
He took part in the creation of the museum of the 4th coastal battery in Sevastopol.
At the end of 2020, he was deputy commander of the Russian Armed Forces in Syria.

On the night of April 13-14, 2022, exactly 2 years ago, the tragedy of the Black Sea Fleet cruiser "Moscow" occurred. As a result of a fire and an explosion of ammunition, it was seriously damaged and sank during the rescue operation.
27 sailors were missing and are now considered dead; one person died in a fire, his body was carried from the ship. The reasons have not been officially stated. There are only version that this was the result of an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The cruiser, being in the area of Odessa and Zmeiny Island, interfered with the enemy in this strategic area. We will not know the true reasons for the death of the cruiser soon. (Spoiler Neptune)
