On July 2, 2022, during a special military operation in Ukraine, my mother’s former student, Major Khordaev Tarkhan Rasulovich, a native of my hometown of Mozdok, commander of the 3rd tank battalion of the 80th tank regiment of the Chelyabinsk region, Chebarkul, died heroically. Having learned about the death of her student, my mother was very upset, cried... She told what he was like.
Primary school student at Mozdok boarding school #1 Tarkhan Khordayev. An ordinary boy, smart, smiling, very inquisitive, with huge brown eyes. After graduating from school, he chose the path of a military officer and entered the Kazan Higher Tank Command Red Banner School, which he graduated with success. He got married and raised two children.
From the first days of the SVO, Khordaev Tarkhan was in the combat zone. He was the Chief of Staff of a battalion of a tank regiment and acted as regimental commander. During the last battle, he destroyed two platoons, several firing points and two units of enemy heavy equipment. In this battle, commander Khordayev’s tank was hit and engulfed in flames. At that moment Tarkhan was not thinking about himself, he was saving the lives of his colleagues. He saved other people's lives at the cost of his own. Pulling his comrades out of the damaged car, he burned alive...
