On September 19, 2023, the commander of the special forces company, Major Gleb Aleksandrovich Savkin, died courageously while performing his military duty in the SVO zone. That day, he went to the positions with one of the groups to reconnoiter the situation in the Verbovoye-Robotyne area and deliver anti-tank missiles. Their car was attacked by an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group. Major Savkin allowed his wounded soldier to escape, drawing fire on himself. He led the enemy deep into the plantings, where he encountered the second sabotage and reconnaissance group. Having accepted an unequal fight, the major died.
