A few words about how we confirmed this:

The post above was originally written by Oksana Yuryevna Nazarova (Okhrimenko). It was shared by her friend Maria Mikhalkova, and then picked up by a "Donetsk City - Hero Z" and "Committee-Council of Soldiers' Mothers of Russia". Both Oksana and Maria have since set their profiles to private.

Oksana is the sister of Evgeniy Yuryevich Okhrimenko [Cargo ID #1350]. However, she was not posting about Evgeniy's death, she was posting about Evgeniy's son, Arseniy Evgenievich Okhrimenko (pictured below) dying in the Kursk region. She only mentions Evgeniy in passing ("his father, a colonel and defender who died in the Kharkiv direction this spring"), and not even by name.

Luckily, we know from Russian naming convention that Arseniy Evgenievich Okhrimenko's father would be named Evgeniy Okhrimenko. We also know Oksana Yuryevna Okhrimenko's father would be Yuri Okhrimenko (thereby making our unnamed colonel "Evgeniy Yuryevich Okhrimenko"):

Yuri was kind enough to post a photo of his son (Evgeniy Yuryevich Okhrimenko [Cargo ID #1350]), his daughter in law, and their two children:

Photo posted in 2011 making Yuri 33-years-old, and Arseniy 8 or 9-years-old.

Evgeniy posted the very same photo six years later:

Alongside this photo, he posted a few of himself hanging out with Dmitry Nazarov (Oksana's husband):

Evgeniy was a Lieutenant Colonel in the picture with his family (taken in 2011), and also posted this photo of himself as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2015. He would have been due for promotion to a full Colonel well before his death in 2024:

So what can we confirm from all of this?

  1. Oksana stated that Arseniy Evgenievich Okhrimenko (born September 6, 2002) and his father were killed months apart
    1. Arseniy's father's name must therefor be Evgeniy Okhrimenko
  2. Oksana's father is Yuri Okhrimenko
    1. Evgeniy's full name must then be Evgeniy Yurievich Okhrimenko
  3. Oksana is married to Dmitry Nazarov
  4. Yuri posted a photo of his son (Evgeniy) in 2011
    1. In the photo Evgeniy is 33 and Arseniy is 8-9
    2. The ages match with the individuals in the photo
  5. Evgeniy posted the same photo alongside photos with Dmitry Nazarov
    1. This confirms the relation between Evgeniy, Yuri, Oksana, and Arseniy
  6. Evgeniy was a Lieutenant Colonel as early as 2011, making it very likely he was a full Colonel by 2024
  7. It is safe to conclude that the Colonel mentioned in Oksana's post as having been killed in the Kharkiv direction was Colonel Evgeniy Yurievich Okhrimenko.

What can we not confirm?

  1. We can't be 100% positive that the images of a teenage Arseniy are actually him. The date of birth matches, but the account does not have any friends or relatives listed. None of his relatives have posted recent pictures of him on their accounts either, so it is impossible to be sure.
  2. We can't be 100% positive that Oksana did not fabricate the report of their deaths. It seems very unlikely that she would, but without a gravestone it is impossible to be sure.
