Unit: 387th Motorized Rifle Regiment, 7th Guards Mountain Air Assault Division, VDV Central Command

Cargo ID: #1210

English Name: Denis Nikolaevich Zharkov

Russian Name: Жарков Денис Николаевич

Place of Birth: Ryazan, Ryazan Oblast, Russia

Place of Death: Kakhovka Dam, Kherson Oblast, Ukraine

ℹ️
While it was reported that Denis was killed as a result of the Kakhovka Dam explosion, the known dates do not appear to support that claim. The Russians blew the dam on June 6th, 2023, and Denis did not die until June 25th, 2023. It's certainly possible he was seriously wounded and lingered in a hospital for that long before succumbing to his wounds, but we have no proof of this.

The Zharkovs now have their own apartment in Krasnoznamensk, near Moscow. Denis decided to get a second higher education in law. In 2014, the long-awaited daughter Sophia was born into the family.
