“At the Arktika school in Neryungri, they unveiled a memorial plaque in honor of our dad,” says Oksana Primkhanova. “We attended with our daughters, and they were impressed by how their father’s memory was being honored. The head of the Neryungri district, the mayor of Neryungri, and the ataman of the Cossack army came to the opening of the memorial plaque. The museum has an exhibition telling about Serik. At the concert in honor of the school’s anniversary they said about him that thanks to such courageous officers we can not fear for the future of our children. All this deeply touched me and my children.
Primkhanov’s family donated Serik’s chevrons and commander’s watch to the school museum. Oksana Primkhanova expresses gratitude to everyone who helped the family in difficult times.
“My husband died at the age of 35, just 23 days short of his 36th birthday,” says Oksana. – I want to tell everyone who is waiting for their loved ones - don’t stop believing, be courageous. Only thanks to our husbands, fathers, brothers, sons will our country overcome this difficult time for us."
