Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Aleksandrovich Bespalov has headed the Dzerzhinsky Defense Ministry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia since December 2022. Before that, he worked there as chief of police. In May, Bespalov was replaced as head by Sergei Galis .

As it later turned out, the lieutenant colonel went to the zone of a special military operation to Ukraine. During the fighting on August 25, Alexander Bespalov died heroically. The funeral took place on September 7 in the village of Irbeyskoye.
