Vladimir Kochetkov was born on June 29, 1971 in Bugulma. After graduating from school with excellent marks, he entered the Kazan Higher Tank Command Red Banner School.
With the rank of lieutenant, the Tatarstan citizen went for further service in the Trans-Baikal Military District. After many years of service, Vladimir Gennadievich retired to the reserve with the rank of colonel. During his service he was repeatedly nominated for various awards.
On September 26, 2022, Vladimir Kochetkov was called up for service as part of partial mobilization and became the commander of the Tatarstan motorized rifle regiment No. 1232. He died on August 17, 2023 while performing another combat mission. Awarded the Order of Courage.
"At the end of June, the colonel turned 52 years old. In the 1990s, he graduated from the Kazan Tank School, after many years of service he retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel. He worked as an engineer in various Kazan firms, and in the fall of 2022 he returned to the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation again - as a mobilized. On October 30, 2022, Kochetkov, while still in the regiment's deputy commander, but already with the rank of colonel, led thousands of mobilized servicemen from Tatarstan. Later he headed the division. And on August 17, during the performance of another combat mission, he died, and, as his acquaintances said, not from a fragment or bullet, but from cardiac arrest."
