On November 30, 2023, while performing a combat mission in the zone of a special military operation, a major of the medical service, senior lecturer at the Department of Biology, Anton Evgenievich Zubarev , died .
A.E. Zubarev was born on February 11, 1976 in Kirov. After graduating from the military veterinary faculty at the Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after K.I. Scriabin was sent to the Murmansk region. From 1999 to 2012 completed military service as an officer in the Navy of the Russian Federation. During his service, he completed additional training and completed an internship in the specialty “Radiation Hygiene”.
After leaving the reserve with the rank of major in medical service, he entered full-time graduate school, after which he successfully defended his dissertation for the degree of candidate of biological sciences.
In 2018, he came to work in the higher education system. He began his teaching career at Kirov State Medical University in 2019.
Active, proactive, energetic, he always strived forward, was engaged in professional improvement and advanced training.
In his classes, he could captivate students and instill interest in the discipline being taught. He carried out active work within the student scientific society of the Department of Biology. But it was not only issues of the educational process that worried him. Anton Evgenievich was actively interested in student extracurricular activities. He took part in the creation of the university’s patriotic club, the implementation of the Medsanbat project, and the holding of a military-historical game. He always supported the creative initiative of students and was the most active spectator of faculty programs at the “Student Spring”.
When a special military operation began, as an officer and a man of honor, he could not stand aside. In September 2022, A.E. Zubarev volunteered with a detachment of those mobilized as the head of the medical service of the territorial defense regiment of Kirov. While serving in combat, Anton Evgenievich always remembered his students and colleagues. Congratulating the university staff on the start of the academic year, he wrote: “May everything be fine with you, so that you can do what you love under a peaceful sky. If this is the case, then everything we do will not be in vain.”
For service to the Fatherland he was awarded the medals “For Distinction in Military Service” (II-III degree), “For Saving the Dead.”
The team of Kirov State Medical University mourns the loss and expresses sincere condolences to family and friends. The bright memory of Anton Evgenievich Zubarev will forever remain in our hearts.
