> In February 2022, combat helicopters transported a regiment of paratroopers; the chief of staff was Major Vadim Smirnov. Airborne forces were supposed to land 25 km from Kyiv. While crossing the Dnieper, a group of military personnel was hit by anti-aircraft guns. The Alligator helicopter called fire on itself to cover the landing group. At 15:00, the Russian flag was already flying at the airport.
