After graduating from school with excellent marks, he entered the Kazan Higher Tank Command Red Banner School. > With the rank of lieutenant, the Tatarstan citizen went for further service in the Trans-Baikal Military District. After many years of service, Vladimir Gennadievich retired to the reserve with the rank of colonel. During his service he was repeatedly nominated for various awards. > On September 26, 2022, Vladimir Kochetkov was called up for service as part of partial mobilization and became the commander of the Tatarstan motorized rifle regiment No. 1232\. He died on August 17, 2023 while performing another combat mission.
