He graduated from the Yekaterinburg Suvorov School, and after that from the Alexander Nevsky Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. During the special operation he was awarded a military award. Dmitry Kuzmin worked in North Ossetia for 7 years, then was transferred to Stavropol.
