On Friday, April 1, a farewell ceremony was held in Ryazan for the paratrooper officer, Guard Lieutenant Colonel Vitaly Slabtsov, who died during a special operation in Donbass, reports the press service of the regional government.
Slabtsov served as deputy commander of the 83rd Separate Guards Air Assault Brigade.
The funeral events were held with full military honors. They were attended by representatives of the regional government, the administration of Ryazan, the Ryazan military garrison, public organizations, veterans, relatives and friends of servicemen.
