"On July 5, 2022 my compatriot, classmate Anatoly Vasin died heroically in Ukraine during special military operation for defense of Donbass. For bravery and heroism, shown during military service Anatoly Vasin was awarded with the order of Courage posthumously by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation. Anatoly was buried with military honors on the Glory Alley in Tambov, he still has two daughters."

He was buried with all honors, as a hero of the Russian Federation, at his place of service in Tambov in the city cemetery on the Alley of Heroes.

> On the building of the elementary school, the former secondary school No. 3, a memorial plaque was unveiled to Anatoly Sergeevich Vasin, a graduate of the third school - a memorial sign that will again and again remind of courage, service to the Motherland, and enormous maternal and human grief.
