He served in positions from platoon commander to deputy head of the mobile communications center for armament of a separate communications brigade of the SSD. **2002 – 2008** – Commander of the 38th Guards Brigade of the Department, Assistant to the Commander of the National Personnel Department, Head of the Department for Work with the Personnel of the National Guard Department. **2015** – Head of the District Training Center. **2017 – 2018** – Deputy Commander of the 5th Combined Arms Army of the Eastern Military District (Ussuriysk), Chief of Staff – Deputy Commander of the 29th Combined Arms Army of the Eastern Military District (Chita). **2022** – Chief of Staff – First Deputy Commander of the 8th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District (Novocherkassk). During the illegal invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, he commanded the 1st Army Corps of the DPR. On June 5, 2022, he died near the city of Popasna, Luhansk region, in the village of Mykolaivka. On June 7, he was buried at the Federal War Memorial in the Moscow Region.
