Status Corrected - Despite being reported as dead by his sister in September 2024, a news story emerged in December 2024 of Denis attending a flower laying ceremony in Kursk (see below). We are not sure why his sister reported him dead, or why a shrine was constructed and photographed for him if he lived, but the Kursk police clearly claim he is still Deputy Chief. He is being marked as corrected unless/until further evidence of his death appears.
